Into the kitchen, ready, set, go: tuna tataki with papaya salad

In collaboration with our partner, we shall now be giving you a recipe of the month every four to five weeks. We’re starting today with this fresh, fruity summer salad:

Tuna tataki with papaya salad

Ingredients for 4 people:
1 papaya
6 sprigs of coriander
1 red chilli
1 organic lime
approx. 400 g tuna fillet
coarse sea salt
fermented pepper
2 tbs olive oil

  • Peel the papaya, cut it in half, scrape out the seeds and cut the flesh into cubes. Wash the coriander, shake dry and cut the leaves into thin strips.
  • Cut the chilli in half lengthways, deseed and slice thinly. Wash the lime in hot water, rub it dry and finely grate the rind. Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice.
  • Cut the fish into three equally wide pieces (approx. 3 cm x 10 cm). Season with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbs oil in a frying pan over a high heat and sear the fish for about 5 seconds on each side. Remove from the pan and cut into slices. Mix together the papaya, chilli, coriander and grated lime peel. Season to taste with salt, pepper, lime juice and 1 tbs oil.
  • Arrange the salad with the tuna.

Prep time: approx. 30 minutes

We hope you enjoy trying out our recipe and we wish you all a lovely summer! :-)
